Thanks for joining me! My name is Shawn and I am an aspiring writer based in Austin, Texas mostly. I spent a number of years as First Mate in the Great Lakes aboard a sailing vessel named Juicy Fruit. I decided to re-start this blog after a two year hiatus to share stories about my travel, life experiences, and interests. Readers can expect to enjoy light literary journeys as well as gain an understanding of people as I find them on the streets, in the home, and on the open waterways.
